hey guys, i ve been writing some bits and news the last days to uodate the blog but it was never complete enough to post it. so tonight is the night because i didnt save it and i ll have to tell u everything from the newest events.
I ve been here(on the campus) for a week now and just today was the weekend. Because only saturdays are considered as weekend over here. So tomorrow the 2nd week starts and that will be my last week on ER as well. I ve learned and seen and done a lot so far and its only getting better. It is very dependant on how much interest u show though...i did take some ABGs, Ivs and I did CPR twice till now. But its also about the theoretical knowledge to make up!
just some basic information for update: i live in a small apartment with other students from maastricht and we live on the campus of the hospital which equals to a neet nepali neighbourhood where the whole staff of the hospital including their families live...
today we went to Bhedetar, which is a tiny place up in the hills. It was too cloudy though to see any further than 150 meters...much colder than down here in dharan. I ve still not seen the himalaya yet, that will be a big and impressive moment to look forward to!
Its very warm over here, the last couple of days there were heavy storms and lightenings. (we even had a couple of lightening victims on the ER) during the day its around >30°C.
My Nepali is evolving slooowly but suurely:-P i was able to convince the guesthousemanager in nepali to get us some shelves in the apartment, hopefully we ll have them soon:-)

Hallo Clara,
Van harte gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag,had al een msm,je gestuurd naar je oude nummer,heb nu je goede nummer van Maikel gekregen.Leuk om je verslag te lezen en de foto's te bekijken.Je maakt zo ook medisch gezien heel wat mee.Geniet van je tijd daar en zorg goed voor jezelf.Fijne paasdagen,alhoewel daar zul je niet veel van meekrijgen. Vanavond gaan we met het gezin van mijn zus en wij uit eten,Maikel en Moira en Rogier ook mee.Moeten we ook maar eens doen met jou erbij als je weer terug bent.

nee het ziekenhuis is echt heel anders, er komen nog fotos van. vooral de SEH is chaoooos.
