2069!

Happy new year everybody!According to the Nepali calender we ended 2068 yesterday and we are ready for the summer of '69. We celebrated new years eve on the campus, well prepared in Nepali-outfits. I never expected Nepali women to go that crazy, the only guys at the party were the waiters:-) We were a bit late, the party started at 6 and ended at 10pm(!). Nepali people have a different dayrhythm than we do, they usually get up at 6am and even earlier. The streets are getting empty by 8pm and by 9pm everything is closed.
Today there will be some cultural event on the campus, organized by the 1st-years. Since today is a national holiday we have a 'long weekend' (2 days). We re planning to go to a national park in the mountains at the tibetian and indian border tomorrow: Kanchanjunga Conservation Area.
We finished our 2nd week in the hospital on the ER and we actually extended 1.5 more weeks, since we like it so much.
After that we will be involved in a field study and go into the tea hills to a rural village for 6 days.

Finally we have nice weather today, the last week was quite rainy. So i m gonna join the girls on the rooftop:-)
