namasteeeeee,
as predicted i ve turned lazy to write long reports with the weeks. some summaries of everydaylife in the nepali oven:
the diverse fauna of Nepal surrounds me wherever i go, sit, sleep or swim: evil, brown, dirty, insects(not worth mentioning their name)at home, licking dogs when skyping outside, other dogs fighting to eat up the best rubbish from our neighbours (diapers), goats at the doors, cows standing around and also digging through the rubbish bin, martins flying at low-level over the pool for their watersupply and not to forget the frogs hanging out in the pool with us!

The almost daily 'bandas' (strike) of the public transport constrain us from getting into and out of Dharan the last weeks. In about 2 weeks the new Nepali constitution will be due and until then different kinds of ethnic groups and public workers will fight for their rights by shutting down their businesses and blocking important streets in the area.
Unfortunately the taps in our appartment are also on strike. The oven-like weather overhere is hard to bear without running water. The last week it has been around 40° during the day!Actually I have seen an egg boiled on the streetpavement! somebody must have dropped it and you could have ate it just like that!

Eggs...you shouldnt eat more than one a day? When we were in the hills of Nepal we approximately ate 3 eggs a day. Omelettes, boiled eggs or noodles with egg was the variation to daal bhaat (traditional nepali ricedish) and beaten rice. Happy to have found the best Momo(Nepali gyoza)-place back in Dharan.

Here a quote about Timemanagement from a Nepali friend: "Everybody comes late, because they know that everybody else will also be late. Really, I think the only thing that starts on time in Nepal are the movies"

Here some pictures, which hopefully resemble the good time in the mountains, where we 'conducted a fieldstudy'

Lots of love,
Clara Limbu
